Sasha is a young vampire with a serious problem: she’s too sensitive to kill! When her frustrated parents cut off her blood supply, she must learn to hunt or starve. Just as she decides to reject her instincts and embrace a final death, she meets a lonely teenager named Paul who is willing to give his life to save hers on the condition that she helps to fulfill his final wishes before day breaks.
Quote:
Sasha: How long have you been suicidal?
Paul: That's a very good question. Since forever I think. I was even born with the umbilical cord around my neck.
Sasha: I thought humans feared death.
Paul: I think people are just afraid of suffering. Or of being alone.
Thoughts:
The 'condition' mentioned in the blurb is deceiving
The mundane and human-like aspect of this vampire family was of interest
Chronicling four years in the life of Julie, this modern story about the quest for love and meaning explores a young woman’s navigation of the troubled waters of her love life and career path, ultimately leading her to take a realistic look at who she really is.
Quote:
Aksel: I always worried something would go wrong, but the things that went wrong were never what I worried about.
Thoughts:
The trailer is a bit deceiving
It'll have you believe it's about one thing
When really, it's not
Especially given the title
And the glee of this carefree woman
The story is told in 12 parts
With a prologue and an epilogue
Having watched this film on a whim
It makes you think about that feeling
Of being the worst
But maybe that's not the language you use-
Guilt for not being a better partner, son/daughter, etc...
